Games like Chained Beasts
Checked 2026-10-18
For a co-op roguelite, compare LORT. For physics-driven party fights, compare Gang Beasts. For roguelike combat with cult management, compare Cult of the Lamb. None reproduces Chained Beasts’ shared-chain arena system.
Featherweight’s 15 October launch post links bundles with LORT, Gang Beasts, and Cult of the Lamb. Bundle membership alone does not establish similarity. The comparisons below use each game’s own Steam description and co-op categories, checked on 18 October 2026, and are editorial recommendations rather than hands-on rankings.
What “like this” means
Chained Beasts is an action game on Steam, 1–4 players, runs that last through three chapters, permanent wounds, and a chain you can trip people with. A recommendation has to share more than the word chain.
Cult of the Lamb is a different genre, a cult-management roguelike, and it appears here only because Featherweight sold a bundle with it. Gang Beasts is a slapstick brawler, closer to the “friends falling over each other” half of this game and not to the affliction system. Buy those for themselves. The bundle is a discount, not a statement that the games share a campaign.
- Want the chain as slapstick: read the co-op page, then look at Gang Beasts on its own store.
- Want a roguelike loop with meta unlocks: the beast XP variants are the meta here. Cult of the Lamb is the bundle neighbor, not a combat twin.
- Want climbing while linked by a chain: that is Chained Together, app 2567870. Its Steam PC listing does not establish console availability.
- Want this game free first: the demo, not a different title.
Choose the feature you want to keep
| Game | Shared appeal | Important difference |
|---|---|---|
| LORT | 1–8 player online co-op action roguelite, loot and stacking upgrades | Fantasy exploration rather than a shared-chain gladiator arena; Early Access |
| Gang Beasts | Physics-driven multiplayer brawling and slapstick | Party fighting rather than a three-act affliction-driven roguelike |
| Cult of the Lamb | Roguelike combat, progression and local co-op | Cult management is a major part of its loop; no shared chain |
| Chained Together | Co-op coordination while physically linked | Climbing and platforming, not gladiator combat |
